Intentional Peer Support in Peer-Run Crisis Respites
Chris Hansen & Daniel Hazen

This workshop aims to examine Intentional Peer Support as not only an opportunity for change from the traditional Mental Health paradigm but as an opportunity to define and claim our place as valued and respected citizens. Peer-Run Crisis Respites are beginning to be seen as a viable option in many states and countries. This workshop will provide an over view of  Intentional Peer Support, a relationship-based practice chosen by many PRCR,  offering the opportunity for people to examine their experiences and make new meaning beyond the traditional medical paradigm.
