Maggie Bennington-Davis

Dr. Maggie Bennington-Davis is the Medical Director for Psychiatry at Salem Hospital in Salem, Oregon. She attended medical school and residency at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon and has been involved in planning and advisory activities for Oregon's mental health system throughout her career. She is a member of NAMI. She sits on the Mental Health Advisory Board and the Planning and Management Council for the State of Oregon Mental Health and Addictions Office.

Dr. Bennington-Davis is particularly interested in leadership. She has served as the President of the Oregon Psychiatric Association and as Chair of the Legislative Committee of that organization. She is currently the President-elect of the Medical Staff of Salem Hospital.

Both past and present activities influence her ongoing efforts to bring excellence to mental health treatment. She and the staff members of Salem Hospital Psychiatry are working to make inpatient hospital psychiatry a safer and more effective therapy option for those experiencing symptoms of mental illness.
