Darby Penney

Darby Penney, M.L.S., is Director of Historical Projects at the New York State Office of Mental Health, Albany, NY. Among her responsibilities are oversight of a project collecting oral histories from consumers/survivors/ex-patients (c/s/x) and planning for restoration of state hospital cemeteries. She also oversees the Willard Suitcase Project, a study of abandoned patient suitcases at Willard Psychiatric Center, which will be the subject of a major exhibit at the New York State Museum in the Fall of 2003.
