Nancy Fudge has served on a number of boards and committees including the Human Rights Advocacy Committee (HRAC) for District 4 in Northeast Florida from 1991 to 1999, where she served two years as chairperson. She was a member of the Advisory Board for Northeast Florida State Hospital as well as their Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee. She has served on the Northeast Florida Mental Health Task Force and the Florida Assertive Community Treatment Oversight Committee. Nancy was certified as a trainer for Case Management and the Human Rights Advocacy Committee. She developed and presented a Stress Management Workshop for Assistant case managers for a private corporation, a workshop for Supported Employment Training Retreat and a presentation on Empowerment and Potential. She helped coordinate and facilitate Mental Illness Awareness Week in Northeast Florida from 1993 to 1998. She has been a guest speaker for the NAMI Family to Family training in her area, NAMI groups, community organizations and churches. Nancy has testified before the Governor's Commission on Mental Health and Substance Abuse, the Commission on Homelessness, and met with Governor Bush, various state legislators and delegations as an advocate for mental health. Nancy presently is focused on her role as a core advocate and board member for the development and implementation of the Florida Self Directed Care Program (FloridaSDC).
